ESRC Impact Acceleration Account (IAA) Showcase and Workshop

What is the event about?

The and the (IERN) would like to invite you to an all-day ESRC IAA showcase and training event. The event will focus on celebrating the success of impact projects supported through the ESRC IAA, we will also be joined by the national ESRC Team who will provide an overview of measuring and collecting impact evidence.

The event will feature:

  • Case studies from ESRC IAA award holders as they share their own experience of holding such an award, as well as the impact itself.
  • A presentation from Nina Marshall, Deputy Lead, Impact and Interdisciplinary at ESRC which will provide an overview of measuring and collecting impact evidence and how ESRC are using evidence.
  • ESRC IAA project examples of impact evidence capture and the challenges/benefits of collecting certain types of evidence.
  • A training session lead by IERN.

Information

ESRC IAAs are block awards made to 24 research organisations to accelerate the impact of research.  This replaces previous ESRC follow-on funding schemes, and has allowed the University to provide a more flexible and responsive approach to supporting impact from social sciences research through internally allocated funding streams.
