Information:

The GOfS are visiting universities to ensure the academic science community is aware of their role and responsibilities, and how they can engage their research with Government and policy development

The GOfS ensure government policies and decisions are informed by the best scientific evidence and strategic long-term thinking. The team of 80 give scientific advice to the Prime Minister and Cabinet, ensuring and improving the quality and use of scientific evidence in Government (including providing advice in emergencies).
